At Havering we take a keen interest in the wellbeing of our staff. We want to make sure you feel happy, motivated and supported in your role. That’s why many of our schools are working in partnership with Worklife Support to improve the wellbeing and effectiveness of staff by focussing both on individual and organisational wellbeing.
To support and enhance individual wellbeing, many schools have joined the Employee Assistance Programme. This gives all staff and their immediate family members 24 hour access to information, specialist advice and counselling on a whole range of personal or work-related issues, from moving house to applying for a promotion. By calling early issues can be resolved straight away, preventing them from having a long-term effect on an individual’s wellbeing and even their performance at work.
However, it is equally as important to make sure that all Havering schools create a positive working environment that supports the health and wellbeing of everyone who works there. This is why all good practise is shared amongst our schools as well as having an excellent HR and Advisory service to support staff to fulfil their potential.
The Well-Being Programme operating in many schools aims to involve all staff in identifying what creates wellbeing, as well as working together to reduce the factors that cause stress, thereby encouraging the development of a healthy, motivated and resilient workforce.
