Vetting checks
All candidates applying to work within a school environment are subject to various vetting procedures to ensure their suitability to work with children. As a minimum (there may be more checks undertaken dependant on individual circumstances), the following checks will be carried out on all successful applicants:
- CRB – All posts are exempt from the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and, the successful applicant will be expected to undertake an enhanced disclosure
- At least 2 professional references
- Proof of identity
- Medical clearance
- Right to work in UK
- Proof of qualifications (if required)
- Proof of GTC registration (teachers only)
